About Alex Cohen
Alex Cohen is beginning his second full season working with Marquee Sports Network, the television home of the Chicago Cubs. He serves as the play-by-play broadcaster for select Cubs regular season and spring training games and contributes to Marquee’s digital content. Before joining Marquee, Cohen spent seven seasons as the lead radio and television play-by-play broadcaster for the Iowa Cubs, the Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, located in Des Moines, Iowa. In 2023, he was honored as the Ballpark Digest Broadcaster of the Year. During his 15 years of working in professional baseball, Alex has broadcasted more than 2,000 games. Since 2015, he has been a freelance broadcaster for the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC), calling baseball games in five different countries. Beyond baseball, Alex Cohen broadcasts select men’s basketball, women’s basketball, and softball games for various Division I universities on Fox Sports and ESPN broadcast properties.
